As Ryan Companies grew and expanded their offerings, they shifted from being a family-owned regional business to a national commercial real estate company. They came to us looking to build a brand with meaning that honored their legacy while connecting with new audiences.


Our discovery work revealed that Ryan’s approach starts with an understanding of their customers’ stories beyond a structure, and the impact of space on their success.


In an industry where storytelling is uncommon, we began by positioning Ryan around helping customers tell their stories through the spaces they live, work and play. After evolving their logo, we built a brand world that reflected Ryan’s thoughtful customer-forward approach to creating spaces for people to thrive and carried it through every employee and customer touchpoint. Crucially, a follow-up employee survey revealed that employees throughout Ryan’s complex organizational structure understood and felt aligned with the new positioning.
